At Spinfield we aim to deliver a rich and diverse curriculum, which encourages children to Discover, Explore and Create. We want to help each child flourish into a caring, confident, resilient young person who has a love for learning. We will do this by upholding high aspirations through our innovative and inspiring approach to teaching and learning. We adapt the curriculum for those children with special educational needs and disabilities to access in line with the Equality act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014. This ensures that all the children are included in a broad and balanced curriculum.
At Spinfield the children follow the 2014 curriculum for Maths, linking their learning to the driver topic where appropriate.
Our overarching aim for English is to promote high standards of language and literary by equipping the children with a strong command of the spoken and written word, and to develop their love of literature through wide spread reading for enjoyment. Our text based curriculum will link with the children's learning in their Discover, Explore and Create topics.
